Subject: A New Standard Bearer /// Part 7 - Day 3
To:"Signature Fundraising" <erin@sigfund.com>, "Russ Rice" <russ@sigfund.com>, "Brad Silverman" <brad@sigfund.com>
Dear Russ and Brad,

I'm not sure how many compliments you get on your
corporate crest, coat-of-arms, heraldry, etc.

I think more people should adopt them.

My first company logo was based on my own family
crest.
My grandfather was a blacksmith -- and every man
before him. In Portuguese, "Ferreira" - my birthname
means "iron worker". Similar but more famous in German
is "Eisenhower".

Pls. see image 1

Perhaps at another luncheon you will allow me to
expound further on its imagery of the sword in the
stone anvil, the Guardians of the Holy Grail and
whatnot.

Among the most widely recognized images in the world
are a set of simple photographs from the Apollo 11
Moon landing:, Neil Armstrong's foot print & Buzz
Aldrin facing the American flag.

Pls. see image 2

Among the most effective design elements I have
gathered from the KIDZONE galleries is the use of a
child's handprint.

Another image that has stuck in everyone's
consciousness is that moment at President Kennedy's
funeral when his son "John-John" saluted his father's
casket.

I have combined all of these elements and emotions
into the following sketch -- it should speak for
itself.

Pls. see image 3

"A little child shall lead them..."

Best!

Joe King
